Jano vs. Nano

In boxing, they say styles make fights. Well, you could say the same thing about movie posters (although most movie poster fans are lovers not fighters.)

But if there were a brawl to break out among two International movie poster artists — Italian stallion, Silvano (“Nano”) Campeggi, and Spanish designer, Jano (Francisco Fernández Zarza), would be an excellent battle. (MoviePosterDB)

Taschen Presents…

Taschen, the world’s leading publisher of high quality art/design/film books (and yes, there’s plenty of sexy titles, too!), has a whole slate of terrific tomés for serious movie buffs, including special editions on Audrey Hepburn, Taxi Driver, Some Like It Hot, and The Godfather Family Album.

What’s also cool about their website besides the literary eye candy — is that they feature a number of author videos and flip-through pages of their latest releases, in case you can’t afford the $700 Audrey Hepburn photo book!

Monroe For Sale

If you’re into Hollywood history and have a few extra million smackers lying around, you can now buy the house in which Marilyn Monroe died! Okay, I know, it’s a bit morbid, but the landscaping and interiors do look very nice…(The French posters for Some Like It Hot, The Seven Year Itch, Gentlemen Prefer Blondes, and Marilyn were all done by the great Grinsson!)

Lindsay = Marilyn Monroe Wannabe?

Lindsay Lohan wants to do a remake of Some Like It Hot…My only question is, who should they get to play the cross-dressing Jack Lemmon and Tony Curtis?
