Woody Van Gogh!
Just caught the new Woody Allen romancer, Midnight In Paris — and while admiring the Van Gogh Starry Night inspiration for the movie poster, I couldn’t help but wonder if Van Gogh were alive today, what kind of one sheets would he create?
Considering his legendary slicing off the ear incident, I certainly hope he wouldn’t choose the blood-and-gore route like all of those horribly graphic Saw posters.

Absolutely Avedon
After reading that yesterday would’ve been Marilyn Monroe’s 85th birthday, I also learned that Bill Gold hired Richard Avedon, the late world reknown fashion photographer, to do the photography for one of her most famous movie posters, The Prince and The Showgirl.
On top of that, Avedon also designed the stylish opening title sequence for Stanley Donen’s Funny Face, starring Audrey Hepburn.

Spielberg Does Tintin
Steven Spielberg is producing a reboot of the classic French comic strip series, The Adventures of Tintin, originally conceived by Belgian artist, Jacques Remi aka Hergé (not to be confused with the similarly comic-influenced French illustrator, Hervé Morvan).
