Crown of Lichtenstein?

Do you think Harry Crown (99 and 44/100% Dead) and Larry Crowne (Tom Hanks) are somehow cinematically related? The Muppets Meet Marshall!

The Muppets are coming back for Thanksgiving with a new movie from the Forgetting Sarah Marshall guy, Jason Segel — who, if you recall in the film, performed a funny/touching song by his character who was purportedly writing a Dracula puppet musical.

Below is the new teaser poster, along with some vintage one-sheets by Drew Struzan from the 1979 Muppet movie…plus the Dracula song clip!

Spielberg Does Tintin

Steven Spielberg is producing a reboot of the classic French comic strip series, The Adventures of Tintin, originally conceived by Belgian artist, Jacques Remi aka Hergé (not to be confused with the similarly comic-influenced French illustrator, Hervé Morvan).

Here’s the newly-released poster (top left), along with an amusing E.T. spoof (top right) from FuckYeah Movie Posters as well as an original 1960’s ad by Raymond Savignac

Hardbodies 2011!

It appears that Pam Grier and company are taking it off in Cannes for their new flick, Skinny Dip — and their movie poster cheesily resembles that barely memorable 80’s comedy, Hardbodies

Truman of Life?

Looking forward to seeing Terence Malick’s soon-to-be-released Tree of Life, but the movie poster does kinda remind me of that 90’s classic, The Truman Show.

Bad Girls Are Funny, Too!

Let’s hope these funny-looking female-driven comedies can bring more than just the ladies out to the box office!
