RIP: Tony Scott

Tony Scott, the director who brought us Top Gun, Crimson Tide, and a whole slew of popular thrillers from the 80s and 90s — as well as the younger brother of Ridley Scott (Blade Runner, Alien) — has sadly died of an apparent suicide after jumping off a bridge in San Pedro, CA. (IMP)

Hopper Along

One of Hollywood’s biggest characters, Dennis Hopper, has died today at age 74. Spanning a career that last six decades, Mr. Hopper worked with everyone from James Dean (Rebel Without A Cause) to Marlon Brando (Apocalypse Now) to Jack Nicholson (Easy Rider) to Quentin Tarantino (True Romance) — and received Oscar nominations for the Easy Rider screenplay as well as a Best Supporting Actor nod for Hoosiers. Besides his five ex-wives and four kids, he also leaves behind an impressive art collection.
