Presenting The Artist?

After watching the first hour of Marina Abramovic: The Artist Is Present, I thought the portrait of this performance artist was perfect material for a Christopher Guest spoof (This Is Spinal Tap, Best In Show, etc.). However, the second part of the HBO doc picked up and proved to be quite moving.

But that’s just one man’s opinion. You be the judge when the film comes out on Netflix — or, better yet, if you live in New York City, you can stop by one of my favorite bookstores, Strand Books, where Ms. Abramovic will be appearing — and actually talking — not just staring at audience members.
